Enclosed, you will find an updated 2011 pulling schedule. Please note that the Lincoln County Fair has been dropped and the Elbert Days have been added.
We're very excited about the Boards accomplishments with the changes to the sled and all the modifications that have been done to the bus. A lot of thanks goes out to Ed Mockensturn for the interior work done, not to leave out all the multiple members that donated their time and talents as well.
Come join us at our first pull in Fountain, May 29, a fun day to test out your tractors before the pulling season starts. A General Membership meeting at 12pm., with a potluck after the pull with meat provided. We will be discussing changes to the points system at this meeting. (Double Tree - RPM testing available)
We have set up a tentative banquet date for November 5, 2011 at the Golden corral on Powers Blvd.
Hope to see you at the pulls and too enjoy a great time-Dennis

Enclosed, you will find an updated 2011 pulling schedule. Please note that the Douglas County Fair has been added. The first pull at Fountain was a huge success having a play day on Sunday with the regular pull on Monday.(96 hooks)
On Sunday, a General Membership meeting was held to discuss the current points system and purposed points for year end awards. Motion by Ed Mockensturn to award three points for first place, two points for second and one point for third place when pulling in each class with the totals from all pulls would declare the overall winner at the end of the pulling season. Also change from five to four pulls attended to qualify for the year end awards. Majority of the members approved the motion.

We are sad to report that Sharon has left the Board due to family reasons, but wish her all the best in the future. She has been a wonderful person to work with on the Board and also as a member of the club. Slim Loop has moved up to fill the Treasures position and Kurt Koster was appointed to the Board. Good Luck To All.
The pulling season is over half way gone with some 725+ hooks to date. Fountain, Yuma and Lakewood still remain on schedule.
Brett has the points up to date so anyone can stop by the bus and check out your status.
The end of the year banquet will be at the Golden Corral in Colorado Springs on Saturday November 5 starting at 6pm.
The next General Membership meeting is scheduled for December 10 at the Village Inn in Castle Rock from 12 to 3:30. Meeting is for the nomination for Officers and Board members along with any other changes to be addressed.
The Board is in the process of establishing a new website. The current site has been discontinued due to the lack of cooperation and feasibility of updating information with our web server. Teresa Griffin is handling this, so if you have any input feel free to contact her at houseofgriffin@msn.com or 719-687-7848.
At the Fountain "FUN PULL", 9/4/11 (Sunday) we are asking members to bring in a can of vegetables to add to our Hobo Stew which will be the main dish that day. The club will providing the rolls and butter as well as the meat and potatoes, but we are doing this as a potluck so participation with deserts and salads are appreciated. What a great idea thanks to Thelma Stonebraker.
Hope to see you at the pulls
